Ecosystem Services

The 'ecosystem services' approach, which is used as a decision support system in nature conservation studies and has different dimensions and application areas, is one of the titles that our cooperative has determined as its working area. Ecosystem services, in short, refers to the whole of the benefits that people provide directly or indirectly as a result of the functioning of ecosystems. We aim to carry out studies to measure this concept, which can also be defined as the contribution of nature to human life, with its ecological, economic and social dimensions and to develop its indicators. We also consider these different dimensions in an integrated way, within the framework of specific research objectives, both in terms of the governance of protected areas and different marine and terrestrial ecosystems.
