Turkey is one of the main countries with rich olive diversity. Within the framework of climate crisis and food security, which is one of our focal points, we carry out studies for the protection of traditional olive cultivation, and engage in policy development and lobbying activities. Among our main areas of work is to make an inventory of olive diversity specific to the producers and the region, to record and to protect this with the right market strategies.
Furthermore, it is not possible to separate traditional olive cultivation from the maquis/frigana habitat with which it is in constant interaction. For this reason, Proje Evi Kooperatifi continues its conservation works in order to give the required value to the maquis habitats.
